How to Join:

1. The event is open to all Auction.ph registered members, nationwide.
2. The contest period is from 15 August – 4 September 2008.
3. To join, members simply have to visit www.auction.ph, sign in and click on the iHoopla event banner.
4. Non-members can also join by registering for free membership. After the registration process, they need to sign in and then click on the iHoopla event banner.
5. Employees of Auction.ph including their relatives of up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion.

  

How to Play:

1. After signing in, members can click on the iHoopla Event Banner. On the event page, members will see a box where they can enter their guess price for the new Apple iPhone 3G.
2. Members can guess any price between Php1.00 and Php5,000.00. Guess prices must be within the range and must be in increments of Php0.50. For example, acceptable guess prices are Php1.00, Php1.50, and so on and so forth.
3. Members automatically get one chance to guess the price of the iPhone after signing in. New sign-ups automatically get one chance to guess the price after registering for free.
4. After members cast a guess price, a message prompt confirming receipt of the guess displaying the time and date it was cast shall be flashed on the screen.
5. Members will be invited to play again by earning bonus chances to guess the price of the iPhone.
6. Members can earn bonus guesses by:
   • Inviting others to sign up for free membership (1 bonus guess). Members can earn one bonus guess if they successfully refer others to sign up for free membership on Auction.ph. After the system confirms the sign-up, the member will be notified via email and when he/she logs on to his/her account. There is no limit to the number of new sign-ups a member can generate. Therefore, there is no limit to the number of bonus guesses a member can generate through invitations.
   • Answering the featured quiz (1 bonus guess). Members can also answer the quiz of the day appearing on the event page. A question about Auction.ph shall be featured with multiple choices a member can choose from. Members simply have to click on the answer of their choice and if he/she gets it correctly, the member earns one more bonus guess. However, once a member earns a bonus guess by answering the quiz, he/she is no longer allowed to participate in the quiz. If a member does not answer correctly, he/she can try again. There is no limit to the number of times a member tries to answer the quiz correctly. There will be 21 quiz questions to be featured for the duration of the event.
   • Downloading and posting an article (1 bonus guess). Members can earn one bonus guess by downloading and posting an article on their blog sites (hosted blog sites are acceptable). After downloading and posting, the member will copy the URL and paste it on the space provided for on the event page. The system will verify the posting and once it is confirmed, an additional bonus guess shall be credited to the members’ account. The member will be notified via email and when he/she logs on to his/her account. Members can download and post an article only once. Additional bonus guesses can be earned for every new sign-up resulting from the posted article.
   • Downloading and posting a widget (1 bonus guess). Members can earn one bonus guess by downloading and posting a widget on their personal sites. After downloading and posting, the member will copy the URL and paste it on the space provided for on the event page. The system will verify the posting and once it is confirmed, an additional bonus guess shall be credited to the members’ account. The member will be notified via email and when he/she logs on to his/her account. Members can download and post a widget only once. Additional bonus guesses can be earned for every new sign-up resulting from the posted widget.Members are allowed to download both article and widget. If so, members earn two bonus guesses if they download and post both items. Items must be posted for the entire duration of the promo.

How to Win:

1. After the end of the guessing period on September 4, all guess prices cast shall be electronically raffled. The electronic raffle shall be conducted on September 5, at 10.00am in Auction.ph, Clark Office.
2. The winning guess price shall be revealed online on the same day, September 5 at 3.00pm.
3. The announcement of the winning guess price shall include the name of the member who cast the guess and the time and date it was cast.
4. The winner can purchase the iPhone 3G according to the winning guess price. For instance, if the winning guess price is Php5.00, the winner must pay the said amount within seven days after the announcement.
5. The winner shall be notified via email, registered mail and through a phone call.
6. If the winner declines to purchase the item, the right to purchase goes to the member who cast the winning guess next. For instance, if the original winner cast the winning guess, Php5.00 on 16 August 2008, 3.00pm and then he/she declines to purchase the item, the next member who cast the same guess, for instance on 16 August 2008, at 3.10pm, wins the item.

How to claim prizes:

1. After payment for the item has been confirmed, item can be delivered to the winner’s specified address. Shipping costs shall be shouldered by Auction.ph.
2. The winner can also choose to pick up the item from any Auction.ph office.

The item may not be converted to cash.
